"Excellent Tour"

We had a fabulous time with Our Guide Claire, who was very knowledgeable and a pleasure spending the day. Bonus for us was it ended up being a private tour. Chenonceau was our favourite as it felt magical, like a fairy tale castle and very welcoming. It's very well maintained and self-sufficient too, which impressed us. Next time we'll stay for lunch at the Orangerie restaurant onsite as it's so picturesque and food grown on property. We enjoyed Chambord for it's beautiful architecture and stunning garden views. Picked up some Chambord liqueur and cookies here. There's also a cafe/restaurant here too. Wine tour in the caves was very informative and interesting, but not the highlight for us. It was a nice break between Chenonceau and Chambord. We would have preferred a quick lunch at Chenonceau and added a tour of Clos Luce, official residence of Leonardo da Vinci, or even a quick stop to the Ambroise market before heading to Chambord. Overall excellent, would recommend and very happy we took the tour!
